TLB Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH has obtained its professional indemnity insurance from: NÜRNBERGER Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG Ostendstraße 100 90482 Nürnberg Germany The territorial scope of the insurance coverage extends to professional activities in the Member States of the European Union and satisfies at least the requirements of Section 51 of the Federal Lawyers’ Act (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung–BRAO).
Avoiding Conflicts of Interest
The rules of professional conduct for German lawyers forbids German lawyers from representing opposing interests (Section 43a (4) BRAO). We therefore always ensure that there are no conflicts of interest before we accept a retainer.
Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution
Disputes between German lawyers and their clients can (upon application) be resolved outside the courts. Disputes may be brought to either the Rechtsanwaltskammer Nürnberg (pursuant to Section 73 (2) No. 3 in conjunction with Section 73 (5) BRAO) or to the dispute resolution body for lawyers at the Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer (Section 191 f. BRAO). These dispute resolution bodies can be contacted via the website of the Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer (www.brak.de) or by e-mail at schlichtungsstelle@brak.de.
